Collab Lab – Winter 2024

Channel some of that creative energy into a connective, musical experience!

Join Alina Plourde, Todd Rogers and Alan Berman for the Collab Lab where you’ll receive any needed instruction and support to start recording at home and build pieces remotely in small groups. A series of sessions this fall will give us space to work in deep collaboration with others, creating and working together. Each session will evolve through the program, to provide the inspiration and support the needs of participants and allow time for small groups to discuss and collaborate on pieces.

Three sessions include instruction in areas such as:

  • Technical and Soundtrap Onboarding Topics
  • Studio Techniques
  • Songwriting
  • Spoken Word
  • How to Build Pieces with Intentionality and Purpose

Wednesday evenings, February 7th, 21st, and 28th – 7:30-8:30 PM ET (with optional collaboration time until 9:00)

All sessions include:

  • Time to collaborate with co-creators
  • A beginner track to get you up and running. Includes a hands-on training session where you will create a multi-track recording at home.
  • Small group recording projects

As in past MFP community recording projects, we seek to create a supportive, positive space to explore and create together.

A Zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to the February 7th session.

Tuition is sliding scale — $30-$80 — some of which helps support Music for People. To register:

  • Click on the small circle associated with your donation level.
  • Click on the Register Now button to proceed to the next page where you’ll enter your information.
