( – 2019) Randy Brody was a music educator, drum circle and workshop facilitator, therapeutic drummer, and an accomplished World Music performer who added warmth and humor to all of his programs.

Randy studied hand drumming with a host of renowned award-winning drummers, including Babatunde Olatunji, Glen Velez, Layne Redmond, Bob Bloom and Arthur Hull. He played Latin, African, Middle Eastern and Native American drums and percussion, including Djembe, Doumbek, Frame Drum, Congas, Bongos and Hang Drum.

As the director of Sound Directions and Drum-N-Dance, based in Weston, CT, he facilitated community drum circles, team building workshops, wellness programs and other rhythm-based events for adults and children throughout the tri-state area.

Randy has performed with David Darling, Glen Velez, Mickey Hart, Robert Gass, Arthur Lipner, Chris Coogan and other world-class musicians, as well as with his own ensembles, Music for the Planet and Global Rhythm Group. He has also worked in concert and special event production, live sound, lighting, video production, and music industry publicity and public relations.

A graduate of the Music for People, Musicianship and Leadership Program, Randy is a certified Music for People facilitator, and has served on their Board of Directors.
