Andrew Oxman, M.Ed., is an experienced workshop leader who holds certification as a Music Improvisation Teacher from the Musicianship and Leadership Program (MLP) of Music for People.
With his joyful and authentic teaching style Andrew creates a fun and encouraging environment for participants of any level of musical experience to explore and discover their unique self-expression. He does this by facilitating musical activities and techniques that serve as melodious and rhythmic springboards for musical improvisations. He then guides participants into the free expression of their authentic musical creativity. Participants often look at each other in wonder after an improvisation, touched by the unexpected and beautiful music they created.
Andrew has taught music improvisation workshops at the New England Conservatory of Music, the Peace Village Conference Center in New York, the Ferry Beach Camp and Conference Center in Maine, and the People’s Music Network Regional Gathering, among a number of other venues.
Andrew is available to give Joyful Musical Expression workshops in your community, at conferences and seminars, health and retreat centers, college and university music programs, community music centers, teacher trainings, workplace retreats, and other venues. For workshop booking or for further information he can be contacted by telephone at (413) 739-3943, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
