Seamus MCLAUGHLIN is a percussionist, playing vibes, marimba and various hand held percussion instruments. He also spent 15 years as a bassist working in various bands, orchestras, and recording situations. Current musical activities include a small jazz group, an improvising percussion ensemble, and a contra dance band playing mostly traditional Irish music. He has a degree in Electrical Engineering with minors in Acoustics and Sound Recording and currently works as a designer of high power audio amplifiers for home and theater applications. Other interests include folk and classical music of other cultures, and the use of sound and music as healing tools.
