Peter is a percussionist, composer and communications consultant who uses West African and Middle Eastern hand drumming, vocal/body percussion and improvisation to teach people about rhythm, music and world culture, and to foster self-expression, creativity, team and community building. He has created and led programs for all ages and levels of musical and creative experience. He is also a free-lance writer and president of Blue Heron Productions, which produces concerts and workshops in world music and improvisation. Peter is a former executive director of Music for People, marketing director with the Paul Winter Consort and Living Music Records, communications executive with Xerox Corp., and journalist with The Associated Press.
