In Deborah's Classes, participants bring forth their authentic voice and experience the joy of spontaneous expression and a creative community, integrating vocal improvisation with movement and gestures, body rhythm and hand percussion, drawing, poetry and storytelling. Deborah sings with jazz and experimental a cappela ensembles. She is a student of contemporary improvisation at the New England Conservatory of Music and holds an MA in anthropology and Education from teachers college, Columbia. She was a teacher, staff developer, curriculum developer in the field of Adult Basic Education for fifteen years.
