Barbara has over 20 years' experience as a teacher and psychotherapist. As an artist and musician she teaches and performs in schools, community centers, and hospitals throughout the northeast. Through her gift of music workshops and classes, participants of all ages express themselves and develop a sense of community through making music with percussion instruments, singing and movement. In her work as a teacher, improviser and composer, Barbara combines the spontaneity and playfulness of Music for Peoples techniques and philosophy with the richness of West African rhythm structures.
